Hey there! I'm sending out my newsletter a little early because I don't want you to miss out on your last chance to get Last Roll of the Die. I can confirm that, in adulthood, if it's not one thing it's another. There was a time when I wondered if I'd ever get my fiction-writing spark back. And then I saw the call for submissions for this anthology, and knew I'd be so upset with myself if I didn't at least give it a shot. I thought, there are so many amazing authors out there who are also trying for one of these few spots—but at least I tried! When I got accepted, I was floored. When I got glowing comments back from editors Mary Stone and J.D. Barker, I actually cried. It hadn't been easy to get back in the groove, but I had. And I'd written something I was immensely proud of. More than that, I'd rekindled my love for writing fiction and gotten back in the groove. My storytelling muscles started to come back. And knowing that Twice Burned would be hitting people's bookshelves in November gave me a tangible deadline that kept me on track, even as life has continued to be chaotic.
